Posit Science Corporation is focused on using patented technology to create a line of playable software tools/games to arrest and reverse the cognitive decline associated with aging, which can lead to Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer’s and senile dementia. The functional design of the software is based on proprietary research conducted by Posit co-founder (and UCSF professor), Dr. Michael Merzenich. That research earlier led to the creation of a successful public company, Scientific Learning Corporation, which addresses similar problems as they apply to child populations.
Job Description:
We seek energetic, enthusiastic, well-organized team players to assist with a special project in our growing sales team. These individuals will primarily respond to inbound calls from consumers who have received direct marketing information and are interested in ordering our Brain Fitness Programs. In some cases, they will be taking orders from consumers who have been pre-qualified by one of our partners. The Order Specialists will help turn all callers into motivated users and close the order/sale.
The Order Specialists answer inbound calls about the direct mail letter(s) a prospect receives regarding the InSight Program and assists the prospect as required. The position requires communication, sales, and data entry skills. The Order Specialists must demonstrate strong ability to explain the program, the science, the benefits, and features and a strong ability to close the order/sale.The Order Specialists must be focused, detailed oriented, and good listeners. The Order Specialists must maintain a positive attitude and have the ability to perform within a call center team environment. The position also requires the ability to work in a Windows operating system computer environment using web based hosted sales applications and the Microsoft suite. Occasionally the Specialists will be asked to provide input for improved handing and programs.
The Order Specialist is expected to achieve a 90% call quality monitoring average and the established order/sale rate. The Order Specialist is expected to achieve an average call handle time not to exceed established maximums per call.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Understand Posit Science’s programs and offerings and effectively communicate and apply them to each prospect’s needs
- Effectively qualify callers and handle their order needs or refer as applicable
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain daily activity and prospects and order information into an online order entry system, including accurate client information
- Achieve and exceed established quality and quantity standards to delight callers with the experience
- As requested, provide input to the sales and marketing organizations in order to refine positioning and adapt to new needs
Skills and Experience Competency Required:
- High volume telephone order/sales/service experience
- Organizational skills, with attention to detail and good follow-through
- Strong listening, oral, and interpersonal, communication skills
- Good judgment & maturity
- Ability to build rapport & trust with consumers
- Healthy desire to take the order or “close the sale”
- Computer and data entry skills, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Proven track record of achieving established sales goals a plus
